Should you have extensive cruising plans, please provide us with your sailing itinerary. Based on the provided sailing itinerary, our quotation may contain quotes for distinct cruising areas. The specifics of these cruising areas and their navigational boundaries are detailed in the 'GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS' section within the quote document. Each tailored quote will delineate the relevant annual premium, deductible, and terms governing the respective cruising area/s.
Each cruising area attracts its own annual premium. Should you choose to commence cover in one cruising area and subsequently change your cruising area during the policy term, the adjusted premium will be calculated proportionally and an incremental change to your annual premium will be either payable or refundable.
In the example of a customer purchasing a boat in Europe and later taking the boat across the Atlantic to the Caribbean, the 12 month premium for the European cruising area is payable at the commencement of the policy. An incremental premium increase, calculated pro rata, will be invoiced once your departure for your transatlantic crossing is confirmed.
In the example of a customer purchasing a boat in Fiji and later taking the boat to Australia, the 12 month premium for the South Pacific cruising area is payable at the commencement of the policy. An incremental premium decrease, calculated pro rata, will be refunded once you return to Australian waters.
When changing cruising areas, we kindly ask for written notification when a departure date for changing cruising areas is known. At that time, the pro-rata adjustment will be calculated, and updated policy documents accompanied by an invoice or credit note will be sent to you. It's important to note that the policy's original 12-month period will remain even though the cruising area has changed.
